Easter Raffle, a ticket for you and a school for them!

This year a different way of celebrating Easter; a special raffle.

“Different” because we will help with a very special project. Masuku Tree of Life.
100% of proceeds from the raffle will go to this association to assist with the building of a school and a well in Malawi.
Kostas Yannakis, a young graduate who we know well as at one time he was a waiter here too, is involved in the project.

So let’s get to the prizes. Any raffle worth its salt has some great prizes – and so do we!

Tickets can be purchased from our restaurant (Ristorante Accademia) as of today, and cost just €5.
With each ticket we will award you with a Masuku Tree of Life wrist band to remind you of your good deed!

Social Dishes!

Last summer we had yet another great idea – Social Salad! We asked you to think about the kind of local ingredients we have available in Florence, and come up with some brilliant salad ideas to put on our menu. And you did exceptionally well. We even had a suggestion for an amazing appetizer made with ripe golden peaches tossed in hot balsamic vinegar and served on toast - and we sold it all summer long!

So now we want your help with giving us some great recipes for lots of scrummy and filling winter dishes. Things that are going to keep the cold out. Appetizers, pasta and rice dishes, mains with meat, fish or vegetarian. Even dessert. Give us your best.

Remember that in our kitchen we only use freshlocal and seasonal ingredients. It’s winter here in Tuscany now, so get your winter food thinking hats on.

Each week we will select those dishes that will appear on our menu, and with your permission, they will carry your name too! And of course we will let you know the outcome. Those that race out of the kitchen and those that wither on the countertop …
